As a tech professional, I approach my diet with the same precision I apply to my work. I believe strictly in the old adage, 'Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.' It is rare to find packaged gourmet foods such as Masaya Gourmet that satisfy the palate without compromising that philosophy. After tasting through their offerings, it was the Adobo that truly resonated. It strikes that difficult balance of deep, authentic Filipino flavor while feeling clean and restorative to the body. Masaya Gourmet has proven that you don’t need to sacrifice heritage for health—and for me, their Adobo is the ultimate proof of that mission.
As a busy mom, I like to do things in a timely manner. I tried using Masaya Gourmet sauces and I must say it saved me a lot of time and the dishes I cooked was on the spot. We've used the Mechado/Kaldereta sauce which was tomatoey and there is a hint of spice. The Sisig Sauce hits the right spot for those who wants to eat it with rice or eat it as a pika pika. And the Inihaw Sauce, ohemgee, it hits the right spot for the smokey, tangy and a little sweet taste. But definitely this is worth the price saving us so much time for prepping.
I recently tried this bottled Filipino adobo sauce, and I was genuinely impressed. Adobo is one of the most iconic and widely served dishes in the Philippines, so I had high expectations and this sauce delivered. The flavor is rich, well-balanced, and deeply satisfying. It has that classic combination of savory, tangy, and slightly garlicky notes that make adobo so comforting and addictive. What I especially appreciated is how convenient it is. You get an authentic taste without needing to measure out multiple ingredients or spend hours in the kitchen. Another big plus is that it feels like a healthier option compared to many other pre-made sauces. It doesn’t taste overly processed or artificial, and it lets the natural flavors shine through. I used it with chicken, and it turned out incredibly tender and flavourful. It’s just like homemade. Overall, this sauce is a fantastic option for anyone who loves Filipino cuisine or wants to try making adobo at home with ease. I’d definitely recommend keeping a bottle in your pantry!
